Over the past few weeks, we have been seeing a lot of promotion running over social media and the Internet of which I am sure it got your attention or maybe you were even a victim of one of it. These promotion are of different types of which some claims that you have won a free gift from companies and organization like MTN Uganda, Jumia, KFC, among others.
MTN Uganda has however today warned and alerted its customers of the increasing attempts by fraudsters to steal from or scam customers through fake promotions. According to the tweet by MTN, these fake promotions mostly target mobile money, data or voice customers, promising free mobile money, data (MBs), phones, Airtime, or other physical prizes.

They also advised their subscribers to always disregard these fake promotions and do not share any if their personal information or PIN numbers. Adding that MTN customers are advised to report to customerservice.ug@mtn.com
